I went throug 2 of Toshiba 55UX600U TVs and was dissapointed with both. The biggest issue for me was the flashlighting on all the corners especially the upper right. They were so bright that they dominated the screen. Dark room viewing was not possible with this tv because the bright spots would show up even more. I had the tv calibrated but it didn't really help with the flashlighting. I will post pictures to show the bright spots that I am talking about. The overall picture is above average from straight on. Get about 20 degrees off center and you will see the picture start to look washed out. Go a little farther and the colors start to look weird. Another thing to watch out for is the screen coating. It does a good job reducing reflections but if any light hits it directly you will see a rainbow full on all the way across the screen. I bought black out curtains to take care of this but that just intensified the bright spots in the corners. I just couldn't win. I own a TOSHIBA 52XV645U and love it. I prefer that tv over this LED TV. I even own a TOSHIBA laptop so I am not a TOSHIBA hater...

More - 55LE5400 , UN32C6500

We purchased the LG 32LE5300 HDTV based on the high ratings from Consumer Reports. The exact model they had tested, 32LD520, was not available and the 32LE5300 had all the same features and more. The price was in the same range, and we were restricted to the 32" size. The hook-up to the hi-fi system was very easy with all the HDMI connections, and the sound quality this way is excellent. The picture quality is outstanding and makes me wish we'd upgraded to HD earlier. Connected to a BluRay DVD player and a TiVo Premiere XL DVR, we have all the hi-def joy we need...

Tag - LG 37LE5300 , Vizio M320NV

Well we received our new LG 37LE5300 TV today....set it up this evening...and to our huge disappointment there is a one inch wide vertical black line down the center of the screen. So I call LG customer support...and after a routine reboot he said we needed a technician to check it out. The technician is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. But I have to say we are extremely disappointed with LG quality...especially after all the other positive reviews we read here on Amazon which is the main reason we went with this LG model in the first place. Now I don't know if we have a $699 lemon...should we just send it back? Whatever the outcome I'm certain this is the last LG product we will ever purchase. Oh and the LG customer support rep was rude too. Thanks Amazon and LG for a wonderful shopping experience!
